Lotus Flower
Now dear friends I finished a new oil painting. It shows a lotus flower and lotus leaves. I copied it after a photo of my dear blog friend Patty. She has sent me some wonderful lotus photos some time ago for my oil painting lessons.

Oh my goodness, Sabine, this is a truly marvellous painting. You've achieved such a wonderful depth with the leaves going back and intertwining and the darkness beyond. I could look at this for ages, it's so calming. There is something magical about it.
